Congressional Members Urge U.S. President to Help Stop Suppression of Falun Gong in China

(Minghui.org) Congressional members recently wrote to U.S. President Donald Trump, requesting that he raise the issue of human rights during his meeting with Chinese president Xi Jinping. They include House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, Florida Senator Marco Rubio, New Jersey Representative Chris Smith, and Florida Representative Dennis Ross.

Millions of practitioners have been negatively affected since former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin launched the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999. A large number of high-ranking officials involved in the suppression have been punished under Xi’s anti-corruption campaign, but the suppression continues.

Nancy Pelosi wrote in her letter, “But human rights are also integral to a fair trading relationship in countries like China that exploit prison labor, engage in other unfair labor practices, and stifle free speech and dissent.”

She said the poor human rights record in China has been monitored through bipartisan efforts in Congress since the Tiananmen Massacre in 1989.READ MORE...

Values of ancient China

Shen-Yun-2017

Today, the whole world is applauding the greatness of 5,000 years of civilization, so masterfully presented by the New York-based Shen Yun Performing Arts company. Yet under Communist rule in China, Shen Yun performances are prohibited, and the Chinese embassies and consulates overseas try in vain to interfere with local performances.

In spite of vicious attacks from the regime and attempts to disrupt Shen Yun performances, theater critics continue to pay tribute to this exceptional demonstration of classical art and avid theatergoers seek again and again to experience this unique show.

Through Shen Yun, we enter the world of ancient dynasties, traveling through time and space.READ MORE...

Pray for Gao Zhisheng on Easter

By Yu Qingxin, Epoch Times

By Yu Qingxin, Epoch Times

April 20 is Gao Zhisheng’s 50th birthday, which coincides with the celebration of Easter this year. Gao is a Christian in dire straits. He is locked up in a Chinese jail. As a Chinese human rights lawyer, without ever having handled any foreign-related cases, Gao’s renown exceeds that of all other international human rights lawyers. On the shelves of many western politicians is the book “A China More Just,” written by Gao, which is invaluable in formulating China policies.

For years, Gao was a target of constant harassment, kidnappings, and torture by Chinese authorities who tried to silence and punish his outspoken advocacy of vulnerable groups in China.READ MORE...

Healing effects of Falun Gong practice

By Elena Shelberova

Falun Gong is “a great ocean of truth …” – scholar and writer Zhong Weiguang

Why Falun Gong practice attracts millions of people?

There are many healers known in history who helped people to get rid of their ailments. In religious teachings in the past, they talked about miraculous healings, but to do it on such a colossal scale, as it does Master Li Hongzhi and his teachings, is just inconceivable. In addition, in-depth research has been conducted by experts, confirming the authenticity of people’s recoveries as a result of practicing Falun Gong.

What is Falun Gong?

After revising ancient teachings of self-improvement and having made it understandable for people of today, Master Li Hongzhi called it Falun Gong (or Falun Dafa), and crowds of people came to the lectures of Mr.READ MORE...

Unprecedented Crimes Against Humanity Continue Today

In concentration camps throughout China, practitioners of the spiritual discipline Falun Gong have been detained with the approval of the Chinese communist regime since 1999 simply for practicing their belief. During the spring of 2006, much evidence of the most ghastly aspect of the persecution emerged. Falun Gong practitioners have been executed for their organs.

The existence of forced organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners for transplantation has been proven beyond any doubt. From 2002 to 2006, more than 41,500 organ transplants were done in China. However, the Chinese government did not provide any information about the source of these organs.READ MORE...

Producing Exhibits From Human Bodies: What Bo Xilai Should Be Tried for

From August 22 to 26 of 2013, in the Chinese city of Jinan took place a trial against disgraced official Bo Xilai, but his true crimes were not spoken of during the trial.

Even today continues the forced removal of organs from healthy people, mostly Falun Gong practitioners, with the guarantee of receiving any compatible organ for wealthy patients within a week. This is only possible in China. However, it seems even that does not satisfy the insatiable thirst for money for some of those in power. They went much further, taking up the production of exhibits of human bodies and using them for commercial exhibitions.READ MORE...

In the Name of Law

Despite futile attempts to hide their sinister crimes, the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has not been able to successfully fool the international community. Widespread arrests of citizens, long periods of incarceration without trial, deprivation of property and employment, torture, slave labor in places of detention, administration of psychotropic drugs to healthy people – these are just a sample of measures the CCP has used against Falun Gong practitioners , simply because they cultivate themselves according to “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.” *

The most egregious of these persecution measures is the forced removal of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners and other dissidents.READ MORE...

Freedom House Report: “The Worst Instance of Religious Persecution”

In a recent report from Freedom House, the persecution of Falun Gong in China was highlighted and analyzed in detail. Twenty two pages of the 142-page document focused on this severe, large-scale, human rights violation.

“[The Communist Party initiated] the worst instance of religious persecution since the Cultural Revolution, with the clampdown against Falun Gong,” cited in the report remarks from André Laliberté, a leading scholar from Ottawa University on religion in China.

With a title of “The Battle for China’s Spirit,” this report was published by Freedom House on February 28, 2017. A press conference was held in the morning of that day, hosted by Carolyn Bartholomew, chair of the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission.READ MORE...

Hong Kong Government Encouraged to Invite Premier Classical Chinese Dance Company

For the past decade, Shen Yun Performing Arts, a classical Chinese dance and music company, has played to full theaters in over a hundred cities worldwide. Yet, the New York-based Shen Yun cannot perform in China, where the ancient art of classical Chinese dance originated.

The Chinese regime hasn’t allowed Shen Yun, a show that has dazzled and moved millions of theatergoers, to perform in the country because the show includes acts that portray the persecution of Falun Dafa. Practitioners of Falun Dafa, or Falun Gong, have been brutally persecuted in China for the past 17 years, on the orders of former Communist Party leader Jiang Zemin.… READ MORE...
